Tips for wet grinding when you use lab plenatery ball mill:

1.Use grinding tools from wear-resistant materials like ZrOz or tungsten carbide

2.Use grinding jar and balls of the same material

3.To generate a lot of friction use a lot of small grinding balls (< 3mm)

4.Fill about 2/3 of jar volume with balls (e.g. 250 ml jar is filled with 150 ml balls)

5.Fill 1/3 of jar volume with sample material

6.Grinding balls must be at least 3x larger than the largest sample particle

lf initial particle size >1 mm, reduce particle size by previous dry grinding

7.Add dispersant until motor oil consistency

Check viscosity from time to time

8.Separate balls from sample with a sieve
