The Planetary Ball Mill is a vertical planetary ball mill that serves as essential equipment for high-tech materials mixing, fine grinding, sample preparation, new product development, and small batch production. To prevent excessive abrasion, the hardness of grinding jars and balls must exceed that of the material being processed. Normally, jars and balls of the same material should be selected, with sizes determined experimentally when necessary.

The planetary ball mill operates similarly to planetary motion in the solar system. Four or two ball mills positioned eccentrically on a turntable perform simultaneous rotation and revolution (1:2 ratio).
